Father Explains The Chalice and Ciborium

Today ,for the very first time, both schools in the Parish came together for a Joint Day of Retreat in our Church Hall. Communicants from P4 St Elizabeth`s and Our Lady and St Anne`s  prepared for their forthcoming Holy Eucharist Sacrament through Scripture Tasks, Song ,Sacramental Scenarios and fun. The local Homeless Unit also came along to collect the non-perishable foods the children had brought as their Sacramental Offering. Father O Farrell(Our Parish Priest) helped the children  better understand the Consecration then led them through Exposition of The Blessed Sacrament in Church with many families in attendance. Lunch was enjoyed in the sunshine in Our Lady and St Anne`s  School Yard . Lots of spiritual preparation and lots of new friendships too and yes the sun shone too !

Friday Master Classes Invitation 2-3pm

This is when the children get the chance to be rewarded for all their positive behaviour and attitudes based upon the School Values. They may choose from Sports to Games to Outdoors and meet up with friends from other classes. The more of a variety the more skills, fun and rewards we can give. Do you have a talent that you could share with a group of children from 2-3pm on a Friday? One mum comes in to do hairdressing…perhaps you have some other practical skills  like  crafting, joinery, music  etc and please don`t worry about resources because school will take  that up. Please let us know if you can help out...we'd love to hear from you and we know the children would thoroughly enjoy having you in our school.
