Today NSPCCĀ visited the whole school to encourage the children to use their voice when feeling unsafe no matter the situation. Advice was given on how to possibly deal with inner worries and anxieties. Older children discussed definitions of abuse and ways to cope with such in their lives. Tag`n`Track 27th February
Today Haley and Hannah from Tag`n`
Track visited P4a to get them all enthused about tracking the journey of the Lesser Back Black Gulls .HaleyĀ and Hannah visited from a Project called ClydemuirshielĀ which is trying to change the current negative public opinion about seagulls .The children are able to log onto tagged seagulls and watch their migration pathways.Some of our local Lesser Black Back Gulls can visit Spain and even Africa on their travels.If you`d like to join in just log into this Site Address .Happy Spotting.
Fairtrade Eco Club February 26th
Today it was sliced Fairtrade Bananas with cold milk and cereals followed by chocolate dipping. After all this slicing ,chopping and munching we went outside to sow, cress,spinach and pea seeds .The children took these home in cardboard decomposableĀ cupsĀ to propagate .Good luck and many thanks to Mrs Murphy for helping us prepare our Fairtrade Bananas and Sow and Grow.
Coop Sponsored Fairtrade Walk To School Breakfast 23/2/18
With loads of thanks to Gordon and Marie from the Coop for donating Fairtrade Breakfast Goods and for coming along to the Breakfast to lend a hand.P5 Pupils wrote to the store requesting some Fairtrade Breakfast Foods to launch The St Elizabeth`s Fairtrade Fortnight beginning 27th February.Throughout these two weeks all are encouraged to buy Fairtrade and support the income of those farmers working hard to make ends meet.
