The Feast of St. Elizabeth
November 5th is our Patronal Feast Day.
St. Elizabeth was the cousin of Mary, Mother of Jesus.
She was unable to have children of her own, but prayed to God to bless her with a child.
When she was an old woman, the Angel Gabriel
came to visit Elizabeth’s husband Zacharias.
Zacharias received the message that he and his wife Elizabeth would have a son and that they must call him John.
Elizabeth had that child, he was John the Baptist.
