Good morning everyone! I hope you enjoyed your weekend and managed to relax a little. Thank you for some of your positive quotes that you sent to me. They were all fantastic and I found it very tricky to choose a favourite. So instead we have “Room 8’s Page of positivity!”
You can look back at this any time you feel you need some positivity! I am going to stick this on my wall so I can do the same thing.

- Can you summarise any of the stories above? Maybe you could summarise a book you have recently read? Summariser 04.05.20
- Are there any words that you find tricky? Can you use your word building strategies to figure our what they mean? (Reading the sentences round about it) Can you use a dictionary or the internet to find out the definition of the word? Word Building 04.05.20

Hi Miss Mcavoy, hope you are well. Please can you put an example of how to layout division with remainders please. I dont want to confuse things by laying out differently.

I would have the children lay out out questions like this quite simply. All they would need to write in the answers would be 7r1 or 5r2 etc. Just the question and answer is all and the working can be done in their head. Hope this makes sense but if you have any other questions please let me know 🙂
