We have been learning about the artist Andy Goldsworthy this week and trying our hand at’ environmental’ or ‘land’ art. Here are some of the things we made.

Munro and Camilla-Belle made this great piece of nature art.

Ethan has made this brilliant butterfly.

Grace has made a stunning peacock with her mum.

Ailsa and her family have made this giant heart.

Ailsa started us off with her own nature art.

Luke read about red-eyed tree frogs and researched them.

Here are orchids that Luke and Lily drew just before we started Google Classroom.

Matilda is looking after her butterflies. Matilda has also done some good work on using adjectives, nouns and numeracy. Keep it up!

 

 

Ethan made a great rain gauge and has experimented with ‘fireworks in a jar.

 

Adam and his little brother made amazing egg box creatures.

And he is making us all hungry!

Some Numeracy Work from Today.

Using real things is a great way to learn about counting. Organising them into sets helps with your counting and when all the sets have the same amount, we can use our multiplication tables to work out how many things we have.  Well done, Adam.

Some people are really good at tackling written problems and have been showing their working.

We all seem to getting closer to nature this week with gardening, butterflies and climbing trees. We have also been online of course so here are some of the things people have been doing.

Mikey was  on another woodland adventure.

Chloe has been learning her tables.

 

Matilda had been making some Andy Goldsworthy inspired indoor art.

Adam has been planting strawberries.

Camilla-Belle has been planting green beans and chillies.

Munro has written an interesting learning log about doing a front flip on his trampoline.

I was trying to make some examples of art with water, but Roo, my cat,  got in the way. More about him another day!

🌈Amazing Work This Week From Everyone🌈

Here are some of the things people have been doing:

🥇 Grace has been learning her 2 times table and has posted a great link for us. She has also been gardening.

🥇 Lucy has been making a bird seed cake and a tissue box monster.

🥇 Ethan has been making a tissue box monster and using Google documents.

🥇 Zac has been using Google documents and playing multiplication Bingo!

🥇Matthew has been going walks and learning how to type on Google documents.

🥇 Faith has been drawing Disney pictures and learning about a Mexican celebration called ‘Cinco de Mayo’ which is something for me to learn about.

🥇Jack has joined Google Classroom and left a message on the stream. Great work!

🥇Andi has been her usual creative self and has been doing lots of arts and crafts.

🥇 Ailsa has been making dens and catching rainbows.

🥇 Neive has been working hard on all her tasks and playing with her dolls .

🥇 Matilda has been working hard on her times tables and looking after her chrysalises.

🥇 Mikey has had a woodland walking adventure and has been learning about time.

🥇 Camilla-Belle has been drawing great pictures and practising her gymnastics.

🥇 Munro has been making a Lego car and taking a line for a walk.

🥇 Chloe has been working hard on her multiplication tables and answered questions on the Weather videos.

🥇 Adam has been making a rain gauge and keeping an eye on his spring onion plants.

Thank you for working so hard Primary 3. You should all be really proud of yourselves and your parents and carers. This is real ‘respect for learning’ and it is a delight to see. I could have posted loads more examples and will post on the Blog tomorrow.

Keeping as fit as possible is always important. The children in Primary 3 have been doing their best to keep fit at home.  ⚽

Adam and Munro are keeping their football skills sharp.

Ailsa and Camilla-Belle have been practising their gymnastics.

Jessica, Zac , Luke, Matthew, Ailsa , Lucy  and Adam have all been cycling and walking.

Well done to Primary 3 for all your hard work in Numeracy.

Thank you to everyone who helped to ‘teach the teacher’ by trying out Google Documents today even if it didn’t work out.  Some people did manage and some of their work is below.  I am really impressed with all of the work on times tables on and off of Google  docs.
