A warm welcome to all our returning pupil’s and staff and a very special welcome to our new Primary one and Nursery children.

It has been a busy first week back, classrooms have been a hive of activity and excitement. Remember to check our Newsletter to see the plans for this session and keep up to date with everything that is happening.

Letters will be sent through Parentsportal, so if you haven’t already signed up you will be missing important information!

Today four of our Primary 6 pupils are taking part in the Euro Quiz final with their teacher Mrs Gallagher! We are so proud that they are representing both our school and South Lanarkshire Council in Edinburgh! What an experience!

Our Health Week is underway with a variety of workshops and experiences for all classes across the week.

This morning Lucy Ronald from Motherwell Woman F.C. and Cara Henderson from Partick Thistle W.F.C are inspiring our young footballers of the future!

Amanda from Caledonian Gladiators is motivating classes by sharing her Basketball skills.

We also have Massage happening in our open area!

Our Primary 6 pupils have been enjoying taking part in their Bikeability course this week. Their teachers Mrs Gallagher and Miss Gallagher have been taking them through the course. Safe cycling!

We have had a busy term so far at High Blantyre PS! The last two Thursdays we have welcomed our new Primary 1 pupils and their parents for transition visits. Tomorrow tea and coffee will be available for parents once they drop their child to their school visit. This is a great opportunity to network and speak to staff.

Supported classes will have further visits which have been communicated to parents.

Health week starts on Monday 10th June! Miss Gallagher has planned lots of exciting activities for all classes across the week.

World Book day is on Thursday 7th March. Here at High Blantyre Primary School we love reading and are working hard towards our Reading Schools Award.

Staff have lots of fun activities for pupils to take part in across the school day. Stay tuned to hear and see what we get up to!

Come along for a Blether & A Brew at our Parent morning on Thursday 22nd February at 10am.

Our fantastic Speech and Language Team will share some Makaton signs and Mrs Ferguson will share the signs we have been learning as a school.

Come along to our Parent Workshop on Visuals. It is open for all parents / guardians across the school.

Thursday 1st February 2024 at 10am in the School Dining Hall.

A great opportunity for a cup of coffee and connecting with other parents.
