What’s on this week….

Monday: Our new early years worker; Sharon, will be visiting the nursery today before she starts in Ballerup in a few weeks time, everyone is looking forward to meeting her!!!

Tuesday: 9.30am – More muddy fun at ‘Forest Adventures’ with Julie and Jessica!!!

Wednesday:

Our lending library is available for all children, feel free to borrow a book to read with your child at home!!! 

Thursday: 10.30am – Our ‘Grandbuddies’ project continues at Rosaburn. The children have been having a lovely time visiting the resident in the care home and look forward to going every week to see their new ‘buddies’!

*Thank you so much to everyone that handed in yummy home baking last Wednesday and Friday for our bake sale. The children all had great fun wearing red, having their noses painted and of course eating yummy cakes. A special thank you also goes to Amy from the Sunflower room who baked cakes for her mum to sell at work and has given the money to us to add to our grand total, WELL DONE AMY!!!*

OUR GRAND TOTAL RAISED FOR COMIC RELIEF IS… £250!!!!  

Due to this week’s Stormy weather and a weather warning in place for the end of the week, we feel it would be best to reschedule our garden tidy day. Our new date for this is Saturday 11th May… All help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Monday: 2pm-3pm – We continue our ‘Grandbuddies’ project at Rosaburn Care Home.

Tuesday: 9.30am – Muddy fun continues at ‘Forest Adventures’ with Julie.

Wednesday: Our local librarian is coming in today to do some book bug sessions with the children at 11.30am and 2.30pm… All parents/carers are invited along too!!!

Wednesday and Friday:  RED NOSE DAY!!!  

– There will be a bake sale taking place in the main foyer each day to raise money for comic relief… Please come along and buy some yummy cakes!!!

– We are also having a ‘WEAR IT RED DAY’ on both days… children are encouraged to wear something red and make a donation to comic relief!!!

 *Any donations of home baking would be greatly appreciated*  

*Thank you so much to our parents; Donna, Laura and Kirsty  who came in on World Book Day to read stories to our children. Also thank you to everyone for dressing in their pyjamas and bringing their favourite stories to share with us… Everyone had a lovely day*

Saturday 16th: Garden Tidy Day – All children and their families are invited along from 10am-2pm to help us tidy our garden and get it ready for the Spring! There will be some activities available to keep the children interested and busy and we also be having a fun Easter Egg hunt… EVERYONE IS WELCOME!!!

Tuesday: 9.30am – Lots of muddy fun to be had at Forest adventures with Julie and Jessica!!!

Tuesday: 2.30pm – Our  ‘Grandbuddies’ project continues at Rosaburn Care home!!!

Wednesday: 11.15am – 3-5’s book bug session… All parents/carers are welcome to come along and join in.

Wednesday: The lending library will also be available for your child to choose a book to take home and enjoy together!!!

Thursday: WORLD BOOK DAY – To celebrate world book day we are having a ‘Jammy Day’; children can come to nursery wearing their pyjamas and bring their favourite book along to share with their friends.

We would also love volunteers to come along and read some stories to small groups of children… If you would be interested in this please speak to Tammy, Amanda or Kerry.

*Can you please ensure your child has a bag in nursery with spare clothes, we are running low on our spare supply*

Good morning, we hope you all had a lovely weekend. Here’s what’s happening at Ballerup this week..

Monday: Between 2pm-3pm Angela and Kerry will be taking a group of pre-school children to Rosaburn Care Home as part of our ‘Grandbuddies’ project.

Tuesday: A new block of ‘Forest Adventures’ starts with Julie today. The new group of children is listed on the playroom window… Have fun everyone!!!

Wednesday: Remember the lending library takes place every Wednesday in the sensory room, please feel free to come with your child/ren and choose a book to enjoy together at home.

*Thank you so much to all of the children, parents and carers who took part in our ‘Litter Pick’ on Friday. It was lovely to see so many people helping to tidy up our forest area and I’m sure you will agree your children did an amazing job!!! Also a big Well Done to our ‘Eco Coordinator’: Nicolle for organising such a successful event!!!*

Tuesday 19th Feb ’19:

9.30am: Forest Adventures – Julie will be finishing off this block of Forest Adventures with the children and their parent/carer who will all be having lots of fun in the Forest… Bring on that MUDSLIDE!!!!

10.30am-11.30am – Kerry and Nicolle will be taking a group of Pre-school children to visit Rosaburn Care Home to take part in our ‘Grandbuddie’s project.

Wednesday 20th Feb ’19:

3.30pm: Parent/Carer Group meeting in the sensory room. All parents/carers are welcome, we would love to meet with you to chat about the nursery and give you a chance to express your views and ideas!!!

Friday 22nd Feb ’19:

As part of our ‘Eco School’ project we are having a ‘Litter pick’ at 11am. We will start at the nursery and go out to help tidy the local community. All children, parents, carers, families etc are very welcome. Children who do not attend on a Friday are still able to help as long as they as accompanied by an adult.
