11.30am: Marion will be doing a Book Bug session for 0-3 children this morning, Please feel free to come and join us!!!

Wednesday:

John Wilson Photography will be in nursery today to take the children’s photographs. If you do not want your child’s photo taken please let a member of management know. If your child is not in on a Wednesday but you would still like their photo taken please speak to a member of management to arrange a time to bring them in!!!

Thursday:

Friday:

2pm – The community Police are coming to speak to the children today to talk about their job and chat to the children about how to keep themselves safe.

 

Monday:

Fiona from Childsmile is coming in this afternoon to model good toothbrushing to the children

Today we welcome Donna who is a student from Strathclyde University, Donna will be working within all playrooms over the next three months!!!

*NURSERY WILL BE CLOSED ON FRIDAY 27TH AND MONDAY 30TH SEPTEMBER… HAVE A LOVELY LONG WEEKEND*

This morning some children from the 3-5 room were talking about vegetables. They were discussing onions and wandering ‘why onions make us cry?’. One of the children thought that they could look in a book to find out the answer. Another child thought that Tammy and Amanda might know the answer so came out to challenge us.

Tammy asked ‘siri’ on her watch and we found out that there is a special chemical in onions which make you cry. Amanda then went onto the internet on her computer to find out more; We found a special cartoon video which showed us that when you cut an onion there’s invisible spores which go into the air, make your tear ducts itchy and this causes you to cry… Even although Tammy and Amanda had to cheat to find the answer we all learned something new!!!

 

EVERYDAY IS A LEARNING DAY… EVEN FOR THE ADULTS!!!

Baby room Stay and Play:

Parents/Carers are invited along to spend time in the playroom with your child on Monday.  If you would like to come along please speak to your child’s keyworker to arrange a time.

 

Wednesday:

The Child Smile team is in to see the 3-5 year old children today to apply fluoride varnish to their teeth to help keep their beautiful smiles sparkly!!!

Foody Friday:

Please help yourself to our yummy food donations from TESCO through FARSEHARE!!!
