This morning some children from the 3-5 room were talking about vegetables. They were discussing onions and wandering ‘why onions make us cry?’. One of the children thought that they could look in a book to find out the answer. Another child thought that Tammy and Amanda might know the answer so came out to challenge us.

Tammy asked ‘siri’ on her watch and we found out that there is a special chemical in onions which make you cry. Amanda then went onto the internet on her computer to find out more; We found a special cartoon video which showed us that when you cut an onion there’s invisible spores which go into the air, make your tear ducts itchy and this causes you to cry… Even although Tammy and Amanda had to cheat to find the answer we all learned something new!!!

EVERYDAY IS A LEARNING DAY… EVEN FOR THE ADULTS!!!
