This is our first week of the Summer holidays and the sun has to be shining… please ensure you bring a sun hat for your child and apply sun cream to them before they enter the playroom. We will also be paddling in water to cool us down so please provide some spare clothes and a towel if possible.

Monday: Today we welcome our new depute; Jennifer who will work Mondays, Tuesdays and every second Wednesday… Welcome to our Ballerup Family Jennifer!!!

Tuesday: Kerry Stewart is visiting the nursery today before she takes up the post of part time early years worker in the 3-5 room in August!!!

Wednesday: Today we welcome back Claire Anderson from her career break… Claire will be helping in the 2-3 room during the holidays but will be based in the 3-5 room come August… Welcome Back Claire!!!

A BIG MASSIVE WELL DONE TO ELSPETH WHO COMPLETED HER ZIP SLIDE IN AID OF THE ‘BEATSON’ HOSPITAL ON SUNDAY. SHE WAS ALSO JOINED BY EX COLLEGUES FROM BALLERUP; LESLEY, LIZ AND MARIE. AND THE DAY WAS ORGANISED BY OUR COLLEGAUE CLAIRE ANDERSON… WELL DONE LADIES.

 ELSPETH ALONE HAS RAISED NEARLY £400, £205 OF THIS WAS CONTRIBUTED FROM PEOPLE WITHIN THE NURSERY. ELSPETH WOULD LIKE TO THANK EVERYONE FOR THEIR GENEROSITY!!!

THANK YOU SO MUCH TO EVERYONE WHO CAME ALONG TO OUR SUMMER FAYRE ON SATURDAY, THE SUN WAS SHINING, A GREAT DAY WAS HAD BY ALL AND WE RAISED AN INCREDIBLE £960 FOR NURSREY FUNDS WHICH WILL GO TOWARDS DEVELOPING OUR GARDEN AREAS AND NUTURE ROOM!!!

A BIG SPECIAL THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO CAME ALONG TO HELP MAKE THE DAY A GREAT SUCCESS!!!

WE WILL BE HAVING END OF TERM ‘SHORTS AND SHADES’ PARTIES ON WEDNESDAY 26TH JUNE DURING THE CHILDREN’S USUAL NURSERY SESSIONS.

THERE WILL BE LOTS OF FUN, GAMES, DANCING AND LOTS MORE TO CELEBRATE THE END OF TERM!!!

All term time only children will finish on Friday 28th June at 1pm and return on Thursday 15th August!!!

Please remember that all 3-5 children will be starting their new funded sessions from Thursday 15th Aug as detailed in the letters that been sent out this week!!!

Well Done to two of our amazing children who went to Hamilton Town House on 3rd June to collect awards for ‘Using Makaton signs very effectively to communicate’ and also for ‘Mentoring and being a great role model for other children’!!!

WE HAVE A BOUNCY CASTLE, FACE PAINTING, NAIL PAINTING, RAFFLE, TOMBOLA ETC, THERES LOTS OF FUN TO BE HAD!!!

WE ARE ALSO LOOKING FOR ANY DONTATIONS OF HOME BAKING AND RAFFLE OR TOMBOLA PRIZES AS WELL AS HELPERS ON THE DAY ITSELF!!!

This coming week’s big event…. ‘Ballerup Bafta’s’ on Wednesday 12th June for all Pre-school children!!!

The morning Bafta ceremony is at 10.30am and the afternoon ceremony is 2pm.

This is a very exciting time for our and we are looking forward to seeing all parents and families of the pre-school children on Wednesday to celebrate their amazing achievements with a few special surprises along the way!!!

We have a wee quiet week this week…

Monday: Kerry and Julie R will accompany two children to the ceremony of achievement at Hamilton Town House this afternoon!!!!

Tuesday: Our new depute Jennifer will be in this afternoon to spend some time getting to know the staff, children and families before she officially starts her post on Monday 1st July!!!

Wednesday: 11.15am – Bookbug… Parents and carers are very welcome to join us for the bookbug sessions.
