The P7s arrived safely at their destination in Perthshire at around 1:45pm. When Ms Russell phoned the pupils were all checking out their accomodation and unpacking. Weather was looking good (at that point!)

This week (w/b 13th January) registration of new P1s for session 2014-15 is taking place in school between 9:30 and 10:30 and between 1:30 and 2:30.
Anyone with a child who achieves the age of 5 beween 1st March ’14 and 28th February ’15 should attend enrolment this week.
Please bring the child’s full birth certificate and two proofs of permanent address.
NB – Anyone who has missed registration week should contact the school as soon as possible.
Happy New Year everyone and welcome back to a new term. 2014 will be a big year with Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games, the Indpendence Referendum, The Ryder Cup, a World Cup in Brazil and an Olympic Winter Games to look forward to.
It will be a big year here at Hallside too with the upcoming pantomime, the school talent show, a commonwealth sports day, the school show (Bugsy), our athletics team looking for medals in the South Lanarkshire Finals, the boys football team looking to stay top of the league and soon off to the redional finals of the SFA Scottish School Cup in Dumfries.
