Our Netball team were very excited to travel up to Brae Games Hall on Monday, to play their first fixtures against Aith and Whiteness. They met lots of new friends, had fun and showed good sportsmanship. They are looking forward to travelling up to Yell on Tuesday for their next matches. Thanks to Emily Williamson and Louise Moar for organising practise sessions and Annette Stickle who accompanied the bairns.

Health & Wellbeing Census
Shetland Islands Council is planning to ask all pupils in P5 to S6 to take part in a survey about their health and wellbeing. The findings will help Shetland Islands Council to understand the needs, strengths and possible concerns of children and young people, which will help plan future improvements to local services. Parents will receive a letter providing more detailed information about the Census, and the opportunity to let us know if they do not wish for their child to take part.

New School Logo
Pupils, Parents and Staff had the opportunity to vote for the three shortlisted designs and it was obviously very difficult to choose between the three outstanding entries as the results were very close.

Corridor Displays
It was lovely to come into school this morning and see all the lovely art work that Mrs Mullay has been doing with the bairns, displayed in the corridors. Thanks Mrs Mullay – some talented artists in school.
A big thanks also to Mrs Mullay for organising the ‘MyChildsart’ project last term and thanks to all the parents who purchased items with their child’s art work on. We received an amazing £186.11 in commission, which will enable Mrs Mullay to buy some more exciting art resources, to help the bairns produce more high quality pieces of art work.
