Happy Easter!
We finished off the term with an Easter Egg Hunt between the P2 classes. Then we had fun with P2A at their dance party. We loved it and we love chocolate!
Literacy Week was a huge success!
Yum! We love Pancake Day!
It’s fun to learn!
Our buddies helped us learn how to make friendship bracelets and how to tie our shoelaces.
Dogs Against Drugs
We enjoyed our visit from the local Dogs Against Drugs Team. We played with all the equipment and got to pet the dogs. We learned a lot about what they do in Shetland.
Buddying Dancing
We had great fun and learned to dance the Boston Two Step with our buddies in P6B.
Three Cheers for Up Helly Aa!
The Jarl Squad were excited to let us try on their brilliant helmets. We are very good at singing the Up Helly Aa song and we can even play it using our building blocks in class!
The shields were very heavy but they helped us hold them!
We had great fun making galleys with our buddies!
Time to Talk
One of our school priorities this year is talking and listening. We have been learning about conversations and how to discuss a given topic in a group. Our topics have ranged from “It’s better to be an adult than a child” and “Children should do chores at home” to ” Children should choose their own bedtimes”
Check out the reactions in the photos! We had a few extremely good debates where children were respectful and considerate but managed to put their own points of view across clearly and with good reasoned arguments.
Circuit Making
We had great fun and super learning experiences trying to make the bulb light up and the buzzer sound!
