Emma Chittick came in with some Lego Mindstorms EV3. We were doing coding in the context of the space industry. The idea was to use Lego Mindstorms EV3 to overcome the problem of space junk. The class had to code on the ipads to make the Lego Mindstorms move forward and circle an earth picture. Some pupils chose to work by themselves others chose to work with a partner. A lot of skills were involved. They had to follow instructions, communicate with others and show initiative.
Emma also had two VR Headsets , from UHI. This gave pupils a chance to imagine what it would be like to work on the International Space Station.
