National 5 Energy Course S3 & S4
We are excited to share that as part of our Skills for Work National 5 Course offer, our S4 Nat 5 Energy pupils joined the Anderson High School Energy pupils on a trip to EnQuest at SVT. The trip allowed for partnership working with Developing the Young Workforce co-ordinators from both Sandwick and the AHS.
Pupils travelled by bus through the terminal site, with a SVT employee accompanying the group to provide an overview of operations, industry processes, and career opportunities.
This experience enabled pupils to develop an:
- Enhanced classroom learning through real-world application.
- Increased awareness of jobs and careers within the traditional energy sector.
- Understanding of energy production and infrastructure.
- Bring curriculum content to life through experiential learning.
We would like to thank DYW and EnQuest for allowing our pupils this opportunity.
Sporting Success: Secondary Football Competition – May 2026
Our secondary pupils represented the school at a football tournament this week in Lerwick. The boys played some brilliant football throughout the day and were a credit to the school . They managed a 3rd place finish in the table and won the 3rd place play-off game, 3-0 on penalties.
