We have been learning a science topic this term.

We have been learning about light and electricity.

Bodi’s Dad visited us and talked to us about the job of an Electrician. He explained to us how simple electrical circuits work.

We discovered that in order for a circuit to work it needs a power source, wire and light bulb, motor or buzzer.

We enjoyed making circuits.  Some of us included a switch in the circuit too.

We also learnt about the  Earth and how important the Earths rotation is in causing day, night, years, leap years and seasons.

We made models of the Earth and demonstrated in groups how this happens.

We have also been observing the patterns of the moon.

Later, we learnt about Sound.  We made Walkie Talkies to explore how vibrations cause sounds.

This term we have been reading novels in groups.

We read together regularly  to read and discuss the book.  Each time we had a different group leader who was responsible for keeping track of our reading.

We have been learning to write book reviews.  We reviewed the books after we read them.
