A great day out with more sunshine (and snacks!) and a visit to the beach at Sumburgh.

Today we went to Happyhansel to the Bud poppy van to hear how poppy Scotland support our services veterans.

Good visit today – we saw how much can be grown here in Sandness. We even planted some lettuce of our own to take home and tend.

A lovely day for a hike up Sandness Hill to get a view of our community. Along the way there was much harvesting of heather berries (and wet feet). Still, a good time was had by all and we could see all  the places we have visited and have yet to visit: Huxter to Bousta with Papa Stour to the north and our school right in the centre.
