Children in Need

This term, P6 have been busy raising money for Children in Need.   They worked in groups to organise various activities for the whole school to take part in. This included running a tuck shop, toy and book sale, nail bar, iced biscuits stall, games in the gym and more!
They were lucky enough to get a visit from Ability Shetland who shared how important Children in Need funding is to running their charity organisation.

Newton Room workshop

P6 took part in a Robotics and Mathematics workshop in term 1. They explored strategies to calculate the circumference of circles and the perimeter of other two-dimensional shapes. P6 had great fun using programmable Lego robots to help them with the tasks. They planned and carried out measurements with a partner and then presented their strategies.
