P7 Panto
P7 gave an amazing performance at their P7 Panto earlier this month. Definitely some budding performers in this class 🙂

P7 have been working hard on listening and talking this term. This week the class presented well researched talks on different natural diasters. It was great to see everyone showcasing their digital presentation skills.
Panto!
Well done to Primary 7 who were outstanding in their performance of Cinderella! Thanks to everyone who donated raffle prizes and helped with the show. Primary 7 really enjoyed performing for their families and for the school.

Digital Skills
This week Primary 7 have been developing their coding skills. We coded our Microbits to make seismometers. We were able to measure how much the paper plates were shaking, mimicking and earthquake.
Art Lesson
In art P7 have been looking at the artist Jaqueline Hurely.
We have tried to recreate her style using paint, charcoal, chalk and charcoal pencils.
Using these materials we have focused on creating texture for the background before drawing out a silhouette image.
The final effects are beautiful, very thought provoking, well done!
Snowy Fun!
This week we have been enjoying the snowy days!
Recently we have been learning the properties of different types of triangles so we had a go at making them in the snow.
Children in Need
Our enterprising P7s have excelled themselves this year, organising two days worth of fun packed activities for the whole school.
Well done you have managed to raise £552.23 for Children in Need.
Term 2 Curricular Information
Glasgow Science Centre
To start of term 2 we had a fantastic visit from the Glasgow Science Centre. Pupils learned all about castles and finished with a crime scene workshop which focused on pupils collaborating to solve the mystery of skeletons found in Stirling Castle!
