As part of our RME topic this term, we recently learned about Diwali and how it is celebrated around the world. During Diwali, Hindus draw bright Rangoli patterns to encourage the goddess Lakshmi to enter their homes.
The class had fun creating their own designs.

P5-7 recently worked together to design and paint a lighthouse. The lighthouse will be part of a ‘Lighthouse Trail’ organised by CLAN and in association with Wild in Art. The class enjoyed working on their lighthouse in groups, with every pupil contributing to the final design. What a beautiful job they have done!

Ollaberry Primary School would like to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who made a donation to our foodbank collection.
The bairns were so happy when they saw how much they had collected. We really appreciate each and every donation.
We will be delivering our collection to the local foodbank in Brae this week.
Thank you!

P5-7 had fun this morning tidying up the pots around the school and planting some bulbs. The class worked together to clear out the pots and plant daffodils.
They then chose where they wanted the pots to go. We’re looking forward to some bright, cheery flowers in spring!

P1-4 have been making these magnificent fluffy, fat owls with knackety knees who, with the bright silvery moon hopefully won’t be afraid of the dark.
