Enterprise

We made different crafts at after school club to sell at the Ollaberry Hall craft fair. Thank-you to everyone who came along and bought things from our stall. The money has gone into our school fund and will go towards school trips.

Baby Day

We were learning about the tasks required to look after a baby in health & wellbeing. We took care of a baby (doll!) for a day, we learned how to:

feed our baby
wind our baby
change their nappy
change their clothes
bath and dry our baby
entertain our baby
take our baby for a walk
read a story to our baby
get them to sleep

Outdoor Learning

We are very fortunate to have a lovely beach and a burn very close to our school, they are great places for outdoor learning.

Voxter

We had a great time staying over at Voxter House. We had lots of fun playing in the woods, building dens, playing games and toasting marshmallows.

Celebration of STEM Winners

Primary 5-7 were delighted to win two prizes at the Celebration of STEM Day at the Shetland Museum. They won the power path competition for the marble run they created to represent a sub-sea cable, transferring renewable energy. They also won the overall prize of the day ‘regional winners’ for their participation in all the STEM challenges, their presentation of the climate smarter school model they made and their teamwork during the marble run test. It was a fantastic day, well done to everyone involved.
