School Grounds Tidy Up April 2026

On Friday 24 April 2026, we held our annual School Grounds Tidy Up Day, when pupils, staff and parents worked together to get our school grounds ready for summer.

There was plenty to do throughout the day, including digging over the school garden ready for planting, tidying the polycrubs, preparing the tennis court, cleaning the messy kitchen, painting sheds and — new for this year — digging out the area for our exciting new chute!

Thanks to everyone’s hard work, we managed to complete lots of important jobs, and the school grounds are looking fantastic.

Now we’re just hoping for some lovely weather so we can all enjoy them!

S1 STEM Overall Regional Showcase Winners

We are delighted to celebrate the fantastic achievement of our S1 pupils Keila, Macy, Connor and Leon, who were crowned Overall Regional STEM Showcase Winners at the Shetland STEM Event in Lerwick on Thursday 23 April 2026.

Teams were challenged to design a model of a renewable school for the future, combining their learning in Science and Art.

They presented their ideas to a panel of judges, who selected their design as the winning entry.

During the day, pupils also competed in a variety of STEM challenges, including testing the strength of cranes they had designed and built themselves.

Easter Egg Hunt

Despite the wind and hail, nothing could stop our annual Easter Egg Hunt from going ahead! Pupils showed fantastic determination and teamwork as they searched for eggs on Friday 27 March 2026.

Well done to everyone who took part and worked so brilliantly together in their House Teams.

Dodgeball Tournament

On Thursday 26 March 2026, our S3 class hosted our annual dodgeball competition.

The S3 pupils worked hard to develop the round-robin format, share the rules with teams and referee the games throughout the tournament. Everyone worked brilliantly in their teams and showed fantastic sportsmanship and resilience during the matches.

A huge well done to our S4 pupils, who won the overall competition, and to our S3 pupils, who not only won Best Dressed Team but also organised a fantastic tournament for the whole school.

It was a great event full of energy, teamwork and fun — well done to everyone involved!
