We know you haven’t been feeling too well and it’s your birthday so the boys and girls at early years wanted to wish you a happy birthday. We hope you have a speedy recovery!

Mrs Geddes taught us a new song in early years and it is our favourite at the moment. We are always singing it everywhere we go!
Michael wanted to sing it for me! He sang right from the beginning but here is a clip!

Miss Johnson our student has been busy making us a story sack for us to work with in Early Years. Over the next couple of weeks she will be taking groups to explore the sack with her. See if you spot anything from the Story sack that comes home or if anything comes up in conversation. 🙂

We have been very busy builders in early years today. We have our “boss managers” that have been telling us what to do and what tools we need to fix the chairs and tables.

Chinese new year is coming up and we thought we would start to learn about it.
We have been making pigs as it is the year of the Pig.
We will be looking into it more over the next couple of weeks.

We have been learning about Roberts Burns and why we celebrate Burns Night! We took part in some of the traditions that come with Burns Night.
We have been listening and dancing to bagpipes playing!
Eilidh and Fraser made their own bagpipes and played the bagpipes as the haggis was being brought in for snack.
Chloe cut the haggis open as Mrs Geddes read one of Robert Burns poems! We all clapped when the Haggis was set on the table.
We had haggis, neeps and tatties for snack!
“It was amazing.”
“It was delicious.”
“Can we have it every day for snack?”
