Café Visit – and Happy Holidays!

We had a brilliant visit to the Church Café to celebrate the last day of term. It was a really fun, windy walk and we were able to practice all the things we have been talking about to stay safe when we are out walking. We had to hold on to each other very tightly to stop us blowing away!

There were only five children as some of us are a bit poorly and some of us are away on holiday, but we still had a great time. We all had a cake we chose ourselves, and a cup of tea – some of us had never had a cup of tea before but everyone liked it apart from one person.

We all told the lady at the till what we had had to eat and paid for our own food. We were very good at remembering our manners.

We had time for a play at the end. We did lots of shape sorting, playing cafes and playing mums and dads and babies. One of the babies was (pretending to be!) a bit naughty as you may see from the photos!

Have a fabulous holiday everyone and thank you to all parents and family members who have been so supportive over the term. We always say we have got such a good bunch of bairns but we also have such a good bunch of families too!

We are back on Wednesday 31st and staff are going on some really exciting training as part of in-service on the Monday and Tuesday so they are hoping to use what they learn to make a positive impact in the setting in Term 2. Watch this space!

Remember that we are planning a Halloween Party at Wastview on the first Thursday of term.
