We had a really busy day today. We had early snack and toothbrushing because the dentist visited to paint fluoride varnish on our teeth and we also headed to the beach to look for good stones for painting – the tide was really far in though so we went to the playpark instead.
In the middle of all this we managed to get our tatties planted. Our first group dug up the soil and added fertiliser.
And the next two groups each planted seed tatties, covering them carefully and then watering them. They were very careful to make sure that the shoots were pointing upwards.
We will need to keep an eye out for shoots so that we can start piling up the soil to protect them. Mrs Geddes has chosen an early variety so we hope it won’t be too long before we have a crop!
