Graduation! (Goodbye P7 boys!)

On 03/07/19 we had a graduation ceremony! The 2 people who are leaving are Aaron Painter (Me) and Jack Sumner! There were 3 videos and 2 power points. When we had done 1 of the power points and the 3 videos we did a mini graduation ceremony (Mr Thompson gave out some certificates to Me, Darcy and Jack and then gifts for the Anderson to me and Jack. ) After that we watched a load of Edinburgh Trip photo’s in a slide show! My favorite gift was a shirt he gave us that had somebody jumping into water. (Our school badge with a stick man on it.) -Aaron P7

My favorite item that I got was the alarm clock so that we can get to school on time.-Jack P7

It was a really good Graduation ceremony!

Our Late Burn Supper

We had our Burns Supper on the 5th of February 2018. We had neeps, tatties and haggis, we also had a veggie haggis which to me was my favorite because it tasted like chickpea noodles. Imogen’s favorite haggis the meaty haggis because she thinks it was yummy. Darcy’s favorite was them both. To me the haggis look like fat sausages before we cooked them. my favorite bit of making the dish was peeling  potatoes, it was so satisfying. We also did presentations, we read out facts about Robert Burns, poems and we sang Auld Lang Syne. Our Mums and Dads came too see us.

Unexpected Sites

We are doing a project called Unexpected Sites with an artist called Amy Gear. Amy came to visit us on Monday to do some art with us. We had done a walk a while back and we had drawn pictures of what we saw. When Amy came we chose our favorite pictures and made them a lot bigger. I liked doing the smudging part. Doing the art was very fun here is a picture.   I did the one with the boy in a box.

Guzing

On the last day of October 2017 we went guizing and got lots of spine chilling sweets. We started off at Peter Coutts house then went to my Dads house. My dads house was petrifying and my faveurtie because when we walked in singing he put on a really ghastly mask and ran at us it was so terrifying!

Then we went to the other end of the island and worked our way to Stakkaflets. I went as The Poker, because I had a pokey stick and sometimes I would poke people. I would like to thank all the people who gave us sweets and money for fireworks. We raised £77.00 for the fireworks. It was exciting!

New Bikes!

Today we got new bikes and before I tell you what they were like we would like to thank FFF (Funds For Fetlar) for giving us the money so we could get these bikes. We got four bikes there was a taxi bike that has a driver seat and a back bit for another person to sit on, a balance bike that was red and if you get used to it it turns into a normal bike, there was a mini bike were the handles are above you and if there’s a straight line it can go fast but it has a back thing to stop you from falling off but it hurts and a thing that wasn’t even a bike, it was really flat and yu put your feet on the front of it and you move it with your hands. These bikes are really fun and there all different. Heres a picture…

Trip To Foula

We went to Foula and it was fun but here’s the thing that I think was funniest, so I was just walking when I came to a trowie like cave and on purpose I stepped on the trowies water hole! Then a burn was coming up and the trowies made me something that looked like a bridge but was just some green stuff in the swamp and I stepped on it and SPLASH! My right leg went right in so then I had to get the water out of my Welles and had wet socks. Also we were going to the Sneck O Da Smallie, anyway on the way back I saw the bridge thing again and I was just trying to tap my foot into the water but it went right in so then my left foot was wet.

At the Foula School there were these bike things and they were really fun. There was this one bike that let one person pedal and another go on the back and I was a taxi man taking everyone everywhere.

There was also a treasure hunt which was fun and adventurous there was 14 clues in the treasure hunt and my favourite was Task: 1 Escape school! At the end we got to choose a prize which was lighting up unicorn, a normal Unicorn and a balloon. I enjoyed the treasure hunt.

To get to Foula we needed to take a plane. The plane was small about 2 cars long, unfortunately we didn’tgo above the clouds but we went close to the clouds. The plane was pretty noisy. I kind of liked the plane ride.

For dinner on the first day we had spaghetti which was orange yellow and green. Imogen cooked it with Mrs Hay and it was delicious.

I liked my time in Foula and hope to go back there one day.

Coffee Morning

We would like to thank everybody who came to the Coffee Morning and because of all you amazing people we raised £60.84.

When the science thing came, me and my new friend partnered up we were the first people to identify the different breathing first for a long time. We also did the control pannel. It was fun. It was really excitingdoingall the different experiments and seeing the show.

I took part in the cracker eating contest.

They have amazing school dinners  but I had a packed lunch and I’m looking forward to visiting them again soon.
