Thursday 28th March

On Monday we had a visit from the Police, who came along to talk to the children about what they do to help keep us all safe.  The children enjoyed getting a chance to try on the Police hat.

There has been lots of interest in the transparent blocks this week.  The children wanted to take these outside on the sunny day to see how the sun shone through the blocks and cast different colours on to the ground.

Some of the children used the blocks to make an obstacle course in the nursery.  There was lots of lovely teamwork as they helped each other balance their way across the course.  The children worked out that they would have more balance if they did it with bare feet so that they wouldn’t slip on the blocks.

As it is leading up to Easter the children have been enjoying getting creative in the craft area making lots of different Easter eggs.  Crafting is a great way to help develop the children’s fine motor skills, using pens and paintbrushes and cutting with the scissors.  It is lovely seeing how creative the children get in the craft area.

Here is a snapshot of some of the other things the children have been up to this week.  We hope you all have a lovely Easter Break.
