P6/7 have made close observations of a vase of roses looking carefully at the shapes drawing and painting from life. Each drawing has its own unique drawing style. Well done.

Still Life of Roses
P3/4 have made observed drawings and paintings of a vase of roses from life. They have learnt how to draw a circular vase and looked closely from life at what roses look like. Each child has made a unique drawing and painting. So pleased with their beautifully observed work. They have learnt what a still life is.
P3/4 Moon Paintings
The children have had fun painting the moon. They imagined what colour it might be. The moon has been called a wolf moon a blue moon. What is your favourite moon?
P6/7 Christmas Painting
The children have been learning how to mix hot and cold colours and have drawn and made collages of Christmas tree and star shapes to complete their Christmas paintings.
I have shown them how to design a Christmas card from their artworks. There are some beautiful arrangements all of them different showing their own creative responses to the lesson.
P1/2 Starting to work on their Christmas trees
P1/2 have been using crepe paper to collage with- to make their Christmas trees. Next week they will decorate their trees with painted baubles, a star and glitter effects.

P 6/7 have practiced mixing colours by making a colour wheel.
P4/5 Have been looking at tropical butterflies from rainforests around the world
The children firstly practiced mixing colours for their colour wheel. Then they chose a butterfly to paint and these are the results. There are some lovely combinations of colours. All representing real butterflies from tropical rainforests around the world. They chose their own butterfly to study and paint learning more about them as they create.
