Term 4 Week 9

Hello from Frankies. This week’s blog is being written by Esther, Emma-Lee, Ava and Cheryl as we patiently wait for our delicious food to arrive.

Donald Duck Day. For our writing this week, we created fact files about Donald Duck as it was his 92nd birthday. We enjoyed watching an old cartoon from 1948 and also his version of ‘Let it go’ before creating fact files or presentations all about his life.

French zoos. We worked in groups to create 4 part dioramas with different zoo animals in each sections. We had to draw and label the animals and some groups even added entrances and gift shops to their zoos.

Big Question  with Mrs. Mainland. This week, P5/6 have been learning about what to do in an emergency. They discussed the different emergency services, what to do if there is an emergency and created their own first aid kits. They looked at the history of lifeboats and the RNLI campaign ‘Float to Live’. Inspired by this, Mrs. Mainland and the class created lovely pieces of artwork.

P5/6 Museum Trip. On Friday morning, P5/6 headed to the museum for a very fun workshop. Megan said, “It was lots of fun and we all really enjoyed it. We got to make our own clay boats.”

P7 trip to UNST! Amazing! Fun! Sleepless! We’ve had an excellent few days away in Unst. Some highlights include Glansin Glass, laser tag, Muness Castle, quiz night, as Smithy and I (Cheryl) won, face masks, making a band, swimming pool, pasta, chicken nuggets, 5 slices of toast for breakfast, Skaw beach and the Unst charity shop. It was the best trip ever!!

Thanks for reading our class blog 🌞
