Well done to P1-7 for putting on a brilliant performance tonight! They have all worked really hard.

This week, P1-3 made some snowmen using various materials. They worked well together to decide what they wanted to use and to build their snowmen. Afterwards, they wrote instructions for how to make a snowman.

We were grateful to Dave for coming to speak to us about his role in the coastguard. They do so many amazing things to help us!

Today we had a visit from the Police as part of the P1-3 topic on ‘People Who Help Us’. It was very informative and we had lots of fun trying on police equipment and looking at the police van.

P1-3 have been learning about people who help us. Today they were visited by Lara White, the School Nurse. She taught us lots about her job and we even got to try out being a nurse on the baby we named Jonny! We took his temperature, tested his oxygen levels and took his blood pressure. We gave him medicine too! Thanks to Lara for a super and informative visit.
We have had 2 helpers to deliver skills based activities – music and knitting.

Children wore pjs and took their teddies in to school today, took part in Challenge Yourself 25 activities and made donations to Children In Need. Well done to everyone for giving it such a good go! Our Pupil Council counted the donations and we raised a fantastic £60! Children in the school have been learning about charity recently and have explored other charities locally and nationally.

The school have prepared Guy Fawkes for the bonfire on Friday night in Nesting. Here are our P7s with the finished product.

We were very lucky to have Eve all the way from the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh come to give us a workshop on super-soils. It was so interesting, the kids especially loved the microscope which showed us so many things up close (including soil!)
