Well done to all of our pupils who took part in Bikeability this year. And thank you to Active Schools for supporting the Nesting bairns in achieving!

On Monday, we went on a school trip to Scalloway and Burra.
We started off with a visit to Fraser Park in Scalloway.
Next, we went to the Meal Beach in Burra. Everyone had lots of fun splashing in the sea, digging and running around. We also had our lunch there.

After that, we headed to The Outpost in Burra. We got to see and feed lots of animals, including the wallabies, emus and pigs.

So much fun!

The bairns have been growing and selling plants this year which has left them with a profit of £3.70 each! In order to give back to the community, we took a trip to the fantastic Nesting Scrapstore to buy some goodies. Thank you to the staff for having us!

Today we discussed how maths is used in everyday life. We considered how we will use maths in our future jobs. We then took photos using the green screen to show us in these jobs.

This week, as part of our countries topic, we learned about Italy. We looked at some celebrations which take place, including the Carnival of Venice. We then made our own masks.
