After the concrete going on the floor at the Chapel I saw Dad drilling to find the pipes he had to roll up one of his sleeve and reach the bottom of the pipe to get the dirt out he put it on the side and I sweept it up into a big pile.

Every Thursday we do swimming and P.E. We have to go to Mid Yell. Now we are doing it a new way. We have two groups, P1,2,3, and P 4,5,6,7. We don’t do swimming any more. The next time we do go swimming with the school is next year by our P.E teacher Mr Williamson. Grace-Anne used to do swimming with us. We still do librarywith Peanuts. When everyone go’s back home Me, Lucy and Kerry stay longer and we go trampolining.

Abby says she enjoyed making queencakes for the MacMillan Coffee Morning . We had to mix up sugar, margarine, eggs and flour altogether with a wooden spoon. Then we had to put it in the oven and we had to keep looking at the clock to make sure they didn’t burn. We waited until they cooled down to ice them. I enjoyed the coffee morning.

Trev is having a great time in Burravoe. He has been to Mid Yell which is 9 Miles away from Burravoe. We go to Mid Yell on an Thursdayand last week we took Trev with us. He went to the library which is in the Mid Yell School and we went to the Mid Yell Leisure Centre were we do P.E. and where we used to do swimming.

We are going to take posters of dialect words to Skye. We made graffiti of Shetland words like Flekk and Greff. It took not very long to make because we used big pens. We have a Shetland word bank with 14 basic words like hoose and coo that the little ones made.

We baked fariy cakes for Macmillan Coffee Morning. We are having ares on the 30th of September. We got split up into groups I went with the P4 and the P7 stayed with P7 and P1,P2 and P3 went with Jennifer. Some of us had plain cakes with icing and some did chocolate chip cakes.
On Friday we had our Macmillan coffee morning and evreyone loved our cakes some of us baked cakes at home. I greeted people at the door as well. We had a raffle. For the raffle we raised £192.45 and people donatied £133.24 and the total was £325.69. When did you have your coffee morning?

We are going to Skye to do with our Crofting Connetions projects.
We are flying to Inverness and will drive in a bus to Skye. We shall go past Loch Ness, so we shall look for the Loch Ness Monster! It’ll take us about 2 ½ hours to get to Broadford in Skye. When we get to Broadford we’ll go to our hostel! The hostel we’re staying in is called the Broadford Backpackers Hostel and we’ll go to sleep.

We are going to Skye this Monday and we have made a movie to show all of the people that are part of Crofting Connections. It took us a while to make because we had to speak Shetland Dialect in the movie and we also had to take pictures, make the tiles and record fiddle music. We have gotten the movie burned onto a dvd.

We did harvesting the crops and we got scissors and we had to cut the bottom of the plant so yor not just cuting the ear.

We sent some letters in French to Kilmartin school. Our French teacher gave us some French paper, pens and rubbers. We were learning how to say and write the alphabet before we wrote the letters. We made bannoks We used flour buttermilk and bere. We mixed it together and then we cut it into squares and baked it in the oven. They were very tasty.

We made bannocks with some of our bere that we growed I made ones with no treacle in them it was fun I liked geting my hands messy with flour on them. Trev the Kiwi bird was waching us he is from a New Zeland school.
