My Birthday

On Saturday the 18th of February it was my Birthday. I was nine, from my mum and dad I got a blackberry bold mobilephone. It is white. When my dad was away on his wellboat, he was in Oban and he went in to the Vodafone  shop and got it there. It came with a white case to keep it safe in. From My brother and sister I got a snooks called NooKoo but I changed its name to Snooksie. She is my favorite colour turquoise  and with bright pink bits on it. If you shake her a lot she will grow a bit. I also got a chocolate heart that said Mia 9 Today on it. I got alot more gifts but it would take a while to list them all.  I have a little party at my house with most of my familey and a few other people. Here is a photo of Snooksie.

After School Club

On Fridays P4 to P7 stay for an extra hour. We sometimes do what ever and sometimes have a challenge. Me, Kay and Lucy make gloop with paint and powder and what ever we can lay hands on. I played a Sonic game on the computer with Melissa. We can play with any thing in the school.

One challenge we did once was we were split into 2 groups and we had to design a treasure hunt. We had to write clues like “used on your teeth”. Ifyou found the tresure then you got a bag of sweeties!

Youth Club

On Wednesday nights we go to youth club at 17:30 to 19:30. We do arts and crafts, play on the wii, play sport in the hall, bake, go on trips and play board games! Last youth club we baked since it was our baking night. Me and Lucy made Chocolate Fudge Brownies! Jayde, Havanna and Mia made Chocolate Chip Cookies. The peerie girls played Peter Pan and also played on the wii. The boys played in the hall and on the wii too! We have a few games for the wii like Just Dance 3 and Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games. We had supper which was juice and the stuff we baked! We played a big game with everyone in the hall afterwords. We played Farmer Farmer.

Zip-a-dee-doo-dah

We are playing and singing Zip-a-dee-doo-dah for the music festival at Clickomen leasure centre in Lerwick. We have to travel on a ferry to get of Yell and then we have to drive right the way down to Lerwick. It takes about an hour and a half to get to Lerwick from Burravoe.

The big ones are all playing instruments for Zip-a-dee-doo-dah and the little ones are all singing. Here is a chart on who is playing which instruments and who is singing.

Kay-Drums

Brydon-Bass Guitar

Lucy-piano

Charlotte + Mia-keyboard

Melissa + Leah- glockenspiel

Kerry, Honor, Phoebe, Bradley and Abby- singers

What tips do you have on playing in a band or playing at a music festilal?

Dancing

It was decided at one of our Pupil meetings  that we would make up dance routines, we could chose our own music and make up any dance routines  to fit the music we chose. We first started off  by just making up one dance with a partner but after we did that we really liked it so we asked Ms Breyley if we could have another go at  making up more dance routine, Ms Breyley said to make it harder we might want to think about doing it with three people in a group or to make up more complicated routines. Last week Honor and I did the Hoedown Throwdown by Miley Cyrus. Here are some pictures of us  dancing.

I have also put a video so you can dance to the song too.
