This week in science P4+ made lava lamps. We have been learning about density but also thinking about the skills we need to be good scientists.

I selected baby, a bat, granny and a house. I all made them move. I made them diffrent colour .It was about a baby lost in the woods. a bat spooked around. the baby got granny to save him.but I had to record the baby again because it didin”t sound like one.It all was happening in the night. I did that on the I pad at school.the bat had bright orange eyes.

On Tuesday we had a snow day. I went outside to play in the snow. Melissa and I was playing a game we made up. Then we were making snow balls and throwing them. Then we went inside. I did snow work for school they were videos on glow about density. Me Meilssa and Neil went back outside. Then Me and Melissa had a competition to make a snow man we colected up the snow with buckets. I did not make the head because it was hailing.

We had some work to do I played Sumdog on the computer.

On Wednesday nights we have a Youth Club and every night we do different activities. On 4/2/15 the theme was Spa Night. We had games to be played in the big hall and in the community room there was a foot spa and nail painting. I had a go in  the foot spa and I got my nail painted tiger print with Tigger on them. Then we all went into the  big hall and got back massages courtesy of Abby. We went back into the community room to have our supper. We had chocolate dipped grapes,marshmallows and foamy bananas for a treat  it was very yummy. Some of us did Dance. Then we went home feeling like we were walking on air from the foot spa which was really relaxing. We all had a good time.

On Thursday in P.E. we did apparatus gymnastics which means you have lots of equipment to go on. One of the pieces of the equipment looked a bit scary but when you went on it wasn’t scary at all. There was 7 bits of equipment. I was in a group with Dillan and Abby. First we went a piece which had a seat type thing and 2 benches resting on both sides of it. We had to do balances on the seat type thing and walk down and up the benches to get up and down. Then we went on to the feet which Mr. Williamson said it would help us with the spring board. After that we went on to what Mr. Williamson calls the hand stand helper. It is a bench that you can put your hands on it and you kick up and it will help you with your hand stands. Then we went on to the floor mats where we practised our moves. Then we went on to the beam where you would run up to the spring board, jump on the spring board, and get on to the beam now here comes the scary bit I did a round off and landed on the big puffy mats it was fun. We went on to the rollie pollie helper and the hand stand helper number 2 and that was our lesson.

At trampolining on Thursday I learned how to do a back-drop to front-drop. I first did a back drop and then my coach pushed the mat under me when I went into the front-drop. I asked if I could go in the later group because I had a fiddle lesson. I think I am going to enter the trampolining competition this year in Yell. My routine is: half twist, straddle, swivel-hips half twist to feet, pike, back-drop half twist to feet, tuck full twist.

In P.E yesterday we did gymnastics. It looked scary at first but it was fantastic. We got put into little groups because there was not enough time to do everything one by one. I was in a group with Phoebe and Dillian. The first thing we did was like a ballance test you had to walk up a bench do a ballance on a soft bit and walk back down a bench. That was really fun. Then we did practice for jumping on the spring board. You had to go one foot two feet and two feet. That wasn’t as fun. After that we practiced kicking our legs for hand stands. That was quite fun. Phoebe and I had lots of fun doing a head to head bridge. Then there was the biggest piece of equipment, the beam. You had to run up to the spring jump on the spring board land on your knees or your feet on the beam. Do a move on the beam then land on the crash mat. or just jump on to the crash mat and don’t do a move. It was brilliant.

I made Mars with finger painting from listening to Mars in  ten pieces.

I got a piece of paper with a circle on it and we got finger paint.With the finger paint I had to dab not smooth cause mars is bumpy.It was fun to dab.The colours I used was yellow, red and brown we made mars because of ten pieces.

With Mrs. Colclough we did 10 pieces and we focused on Mars and this is Sofia’s Mars that she did with finger paint.
