At after school club we did code club. We did games from the Hour of Code. We did various of games to do with coding. I did my own Google Doodle. I also did the Flappy Bird and Minecraft. I enjoyed doing Coding.

On Friday 17/11/17 It was Children in Need we did a coin line. We all bung in coins for our line. Our line was 41.23m that is very long. it went all around the school. We rased £58. 85 just from that line that is lots and lots money. I enjoyed putting the coins down and make a line with them.

On Friday we had Sophie at the school to talk about engineering. Sophie used to be a pupil at Burravoe. She talked about what jobs an engineer will do. Her jobs were to draw plans, build beige plans so then they can build a real design of it Then we drew pictures of skyscrapers. We also asked questions about her job. Then she explained how long she had to be at University. She said that she had to stay four years.

Last Friday we had children in need and we did a line of coins and I was picking up the coins and I did the 50p and the pennys and they were three 50p and lots of pennys and we picked up the coins and put them in tubs and pots.

On Tuesday we did Rubbings. The first thing we do is get a piece of paper and get something that has a rough surface. put it under the piece of paper, and then you get a Crayons and draw on top of it, then you should see the rough bit. I used Lego, and i thought it was really fun.

We got a flu spray thingy up our noses to prevent flu.We got a sticker each.They said two things. One says “I’m a Flu Fighter”. The other says “Keep Flu Out”. The people that did it said it might make our noses runny.

On Wednesday the 15/11/17 we went to our nearest hall, The Burravoe Hall, to play bowls. John, who came to do bowls with us; set out 7 discs; we had to pick up one each and see what it said on it. I was on the black team and I played second in the team. At the end, it turned out that it was a draw between the two teams.

On the 10/11/17 we did hand washing with Mrs. Doull. We did raps with it as well we watched our old ones when I was P3 and now I’m P6. First when we wash our hands then we rinse then you put the soap on instead of the other way around then you put your fingers on the back of your hand and rub back and forth and the same on the other hands.

This term we are learning about authors and illustrators. I am doing Lydia Monks as my author and illustrator. We were writing some of the books that our author or illustrator has written or drawn. Then we found out a bit about there biography (that means their life). After that we did a drawing of one of their characters from one of their books that they did. I did the Singing Mermaid from the book the Singing Mermaid. I think that my pictures it looks good!

This term we are doing a project on authors and illustrators, the author or illustrator to research about was our choice. I chose Steven Butler the author of the Diary of Dennis the Menace books, the illustrator of the books is Steve May. On Tuesday we drew pictures/characters from our books we either copied them from a how to draw video on YouTube or we made up a character but from their style of drawing. I drew Gnasher a character who’s a dog in the books. I really enjoyed drawing Gnasher because he has really messy fur and that was my favourite part to do.

On Wednesday we did an Authors Live with Kes Gray. He read us a story called Oi Frog and Oi Dog. He talked to us about his biscuit super powers he could defeat bad guys. He showed us when he was a baby he was born with a mustache and glasses and it kept growing longer and he had milk in it then he had to cut it off. It was a really good one even though it is for P1 – P3 and I’m P6.

When I came back from from holiday I brought back a fruit called pomelo, we were going to eat it on the first day back but then there wasn’t time so we ate the other treat I brought from Romania. The next day We ate the pomelo for piece and people who didn’t like it or didn’t want more had a different fruit but we all tried it. Pomelos are citrus fruits. The have a yellow peel and a lot of pith. Underneath is the segments, on the segment is a skin, you have to peel the skin before you eat it as well as the pith.

On Friday I went to the Hallowe’en party. We did some games when you try to eat a doughnut or a marshmallow from a string but you can’t use your hands. We did musical statues and another game when we danced to music and when it stopped you had to run to a corner with a Hallowe’en character on paper, someone mixed up the same pieces of paper that were on the walls and they chose one character and whatever was on that the people at that picture would be out. We also did the game when We got Turnip, Potatoes and Beans after we got drinks too.
