The children had to work very hard today. They set up their stalls thinking about how to best display their goods to attract customers; they had a lot of different goods so had to think carefully about this. They took it in turns to serve customers and sell raffle tickets so everyone got a chance to practise taking money and giving change. They had to keep the stalls topped up and keep them looking attractive all day. They had a lot of customers when they first opened and then others who came in during the day. When the sale ended the children had to count their money carefully and share the raffle takings equally between both teams. This took a while so the older ones drew the raffle during after school club. Selling-Sensation and Mount Rainbow have to make sure they have paid all their costs before they can work out their exact profit and see which team made the most. I think they have all learned how hard you have to work to run a successful enterprise and how many things you have to consider.
