Mia and I got the job of making the dinner rota, We do the rota on Microsoft Word. On the dinner rota there is 3  jobs (Cleaning, Plates, Sweeping)  for 5 days, and we have 9 people (P3 to P7. It took us 3 tries to get it right!

First Attempt

First we tried changing the old rota, that was made last year by us. At first we just added people that were old enough to do the job. So we tried making sure people were not doing plates and clearing on the same day. But when we came to checking it, we found out that there wasn’t enough people to do sweeping because there was only 9.

Second Attempt

Next we tried changing it again, but we looked through it and found out that people where doing  jobs on the same days.

Third Attempt

We went back to basics, we went down the columns in age order, and it worked!
