A little girl called Janet lived in a tiny house in the middle of the dark, lonely woods. The tiny house was a tree house with a red tiled roof. Janet lived with her auntie Amanda, her mother and father went away to a small island of the coast off Africa and couldn’t take Janet with them. When Janet woke up and looked out the window she saw a flock of geese flying strong over the tree tops. Amanda came in to say that they would have to move to Africa where Janet’s mum and dad was living because the electricity bill had gone soaring up and she couldn’t afford it. They packed their belongings and got in the creaky wagon. The wagon was very dark so Janet could sleep in it. She grabbed her rag doll that her auntie made for her and went to sleep again. When they got to the lazy sea they boarded a snug boat and they sailed off. After a 24 hour journey they got to the Africa. Africa was so hot that they had to put there t-shirts on! “I can’t wait to see mum and dad!” exclaimed Janet. “I have hardly seen them!” When they got to the huge house Janet’s parents stayed at, they unloaded the wagon and knocked on the creaky door. Nobody answered; they knocked again still nobody answered. “What are we meant to do now?” asked Janet. “I have no idea!” said Amanda. “We will just have to sleep in the wild!”
