Today we worked on planning the initial stages of our reflective essay based on our experience of our ‘First Day at Kelso High School’.

We made notes on how pupils felt both the night before and when they first woke up in the morning.

Today we continued our attempt to improve the quality of our written expression by focusing on adjectives.

Today we were working on Reading  Strategy 1: Making Predictions.  After analysing the cover, we read Chapter One of  ‘Of Mice and Men’ and began to think about how both character and plot will develop over the course of the novel.

Our period ended with a ‘Adjective Challenge’ to describe the portrayal of the characters of George and Lennie in Chapter One.
