A reminder that ‘To Kill a Mockingbird’ critical essays need to be handed in on Monday 9th November.
To make it easier for you, remember the golden rule – treat critical essays as different pieces of a jigsaw.
Follow the formula for each main section of your essay:
TS + E + A
If you would like some extra help with your essay writing, please make sure that you see me sometime this week and certainly before next Monday’s deadline.
Scots Language Poems
Over the past few weeks pupils have been working incredibly hard to produce some fantastic pieces of Scots poetry.
These poems have been written as part of a cross-curricular project with the Art Department for a competition sponsored by Kelso Burns Club.
Future weeks will see artwork being incorporated into the project, but for the moment please enjoy a selection of some of the poems.

We have made predictions, asked questions and now we have moved on to making comparisons.
We are still enjoying reading about George and Lennie’s adventures.
