As from April 2024 Wallacetown EYC has became a gold award rights respecting school. We started our rights journey by receiving our bronze award in June 2020 and then our Silver award in March 2023 after many years of hard work from the children and staff here at Wallacetown EYC.
A rights wee chin wag group is for parents/carers to spread awareness of children’s rights. We also chat about how we as adults can support all children using rights and how children will benefit from them.
We have a prevention first group which includes the children meeting with local schools, local services and emergency services to have their input in how everyone can work together to provide a safe, caring and thriving community.
