Hello from Primary 5/6 and Mrs Cuthbertson!

We are so excited to spend a year together as a class of 22 children – made up of 11 Primary 6 children and 11 Primary 5 children.

During our time in Primary 5/6,  we can’t wait for lots of learning experiences and opportunities. We will be learning about different topics including Europe, The Victorians, Planet Earth and Scottish Myths and Legends!

We love learning new things in a variety of learning environments and are learning how to work together as one team! Each day we experience literacy and numeracy opportunities. We approach our literacy with a South Ayrshire Reads focus and ensure we use lots of concrete, pictorial and abstract materials when taking part in our numeracy lessons. We have created a calm classroom environment with access to play and technology to help us learn the best that we can.

We are very lucky to have lots of outdoor learning opportunities along with PE twice a week with Mrs Shepherd. Once a week, we will be working alongside Miss Phillips and we will also be supported regularly in class by Mrs Paton.

We can’t wait to have lots of new adventures in Primary 5/6 to help us develop even more in our learning journey!
