Welcome by Head Teacher
On behalf of all the children, parents and staff I am delighted to welcome you to our school. Situated in our beautiful village in the heart of a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, we are incredibly proud of our quaint little school just on the outskirts of our equally quaint and beautiful village of Straiton.
At Straiton Primary School and Early Years Centre we set high standards with the view to giving our young people the best possible start in life – through active learning, exploration, teamwork, nurture and by making use of the picturesque setting in which we are lucky enough to learn and have fun in each day. We strive to do our best in all areas, and are keen to develop a culture of thinking built upon the care and wellbeing of all.
Quite simply, everyone at the school wants to play our part in making Straiton, and the wider world in general, a more positive, fair and sustainable place to live, work and play. We believe we can all make a positive difference, and our pupils are testament to that positive change.
“Small school, big heart”
Please don’t hesitate to contact the school if we can assist in any way.
Best wishes
