Young Carers
At Muirhead Primary School, we are committed to supporting Tiny Carers, Wee Carers and Young Carers. Mrs Lockie is our Young Carers Champion who helps to coordinate support and opportunities for our young carers in the school. Staff have carried out training on identifying and supporting young carers in education. We have a Young Carers in Education policy and a summarised document which has been shared with all families to help to identify young carers in our school. We recently achieved our Young Carers in Schools award due to the work we have been carrying out.
