On Monday 22nd May we went on a class trip to Culzean Country park to learn all about our local wildlife in ponds and about the seaside as part of our Big Splash Fortnight. We had lots of fun fishing in the pond to see what creatures we could catch and learning about them from the Rangers. After we had lunch we went down the beach to scavenger for different things like driftwood, black stone, sea glass, and one group even found a mouse hiding under a rock. We learned lots of interesting facts about our beaches and about how to become a ranger at Culzean.

We have started our new topic in maths: Volume and had lots of fun measuring water using different measuring jugs and cylinders. Have a go at measuring liquids with your child at home this week.
