Uniform

At Heathfield Primary School pupils are encouraged to wear school uniform. This includes a white shirt or white/red polo shirt, a red tie and school shorts, trousers, skirt or dress.

Heathfield Primary prides itself in the fact that all pupils do wear school uniform. Following wide consultation, it was evident that parents wanted to keep the school shirt and red tie. We have also introduced a red jacket with the school name embroidered on the front – the jacket is weatherproof as it is waterproof on the outside and lined with a warm fleece on the inside.  We also added a soft shell windproof jacket.  These have been in great demand and looks very smart too. Several younger children wear the school blazer when starting school.

Physical Education is a very important part of our school curriculum. Pupils will be informed at the start of each term what days their P.E. will take place. Their P.E. kit can be stored in school and it can be taken home to be cleaned when required.

For safety at P.E. shorts, plain red or white tee-shirts or polo shirts, and sandshoes should be worn. All jewellery should be removed before taking part and longer hair should be tied up.

Our uniform may be purchased from BE Schoolwear, at their shop in Dalblair Road, Ayr, or online at   https://www.border-embroideries.co.uk/schools/heathfield-primary-school.html
