Dundonald Primary & Early Years Centre

Our school is situated within the village of Dundonald, in South Ayrshire.  Dundonald village is located just 5 miles outside of Troon, nestled in the Ayrshire hillside, surrounded by rolling countryside.  Dundonald is perhaps most well known for its 14th century castle and woodland area.

Dundonald Primary is an important feature of the local community.  We are very fortunate to be within walking distance of Dundonald Castle and Dundonald woods; both of which provide a wealth of opportunities for outdoor learning which all children engage in.

Throughout the year, we participate in a variety of community and local authority events.  Children, as part of their learning, enjoy exploring their local environment and have opportunities to make links between what they learn in school and the world of work.  We are always keen for people in the community to offer their expertise to enrich this work. Members of the community, whether parents or not, are welcome to visit the school to view the work that is going on or to share their experience and expertise with the children.
