Today I went to my dads work for a work experience. He works in Scottish wool growers. It was really interesting. I threw the wool into the correct containers I also checked the wool to see if it was good quality and I counted gradings and lots more it was a really good day.
Today I went to my mum’s work and she works as a Product Support Team Leader .we started off with logging on to our laptops and meeting everyone there, The first important job of the day….getting coffee from the coffee shop.
We are finished with the weekly catch up with team leaders and head of support. The meeting was over Skype as Mat is based in Wales and Steve is at the main office in Teddington.
Then once we had finished with the meetings we went out for some lunch with my mums friend and we went to KFC.
After lunch we helped to Review the skills Matrix for the team- This is to make sure there are enough people to cover the products my mum’s team support.
Learnt about the product Life Cycle. How software is developed, tested, released and supported.
Helped test some fixes to bugs in the software for the next release package.
Today primary 7 were doing gymnastics. There were different stations in each station you had to get a partner and we were working on symmetrical movement.
Primary 7 have been working very hard over the last few weeks learning all about the life of Robert Burns. Today (Friday 29th January) is the culmination of all the hard work as they get ready for their Burns Supper this afternoon.
In #MysterySkype our teacher set up a call with a different class in a different country. The country we got was Moscow in Russia.
We asked them questions like what hemisphere they were in and what continent they were in.
Finally we narrowed it down to find out if they were in the capital city.
Once we finished we asked them some questions they sang a song for us and we sang our school song for them. At the end we all sang Jingle Bells together.
