P1 Outdoor Learning

Mrs Wiszniewski’s maths group went outside today in the playground to do some of their maths work. They were learning about number bonds and were practising how to form their numbers correctly. It looks like they had a great time!

Mothers’ Day Competition Winners!

Congratulations to the 4 winners who won our Mothers’ Day competition. The Co-Op Funeralcare kindly donated the lovely prizes of flowers and chocolates. There was a winner from every class who earned themselves 20 house points.

Well done everyone for taking part.

P4’s Perfect Popcorn

The healthy snack that we created is popcorn. To make sure this idea was going to work we had to make some testers. Six people helped Mr McDonough to count how many popcorn cones we could fill up. We filled up 4 cones with one box and we could fill up 12 because there was 3 packets in one box. Our most favourite thing was when you heard the popcorn pop in the microwave going “POP”!

At the end Mr McDonough gave us FREE POPCORN for helping him. It tasted sweet and salted!

P4 Rehearsal for Showcase

On Friday we rehearsed for the showcase. Ten people took part, they were: Lauren, Robbie, Louis, Pippa, Brogan, Alexandra, Aimee, Rebecca, Saif and Erin. Lauren was the incredible ringmaster. The other five told the fascinating information and the final four showed posters and the popcorn cones.

World of Work Week P4

Last week Mrs Donnelly came and talked about her job. Her job was a midwife. The skills you need are to be kind, confident and have compassion. You have to go university for 5 years.

She has to go to a pregnant mum at anytime. She doesn’t get paid enough for her hard work!
