Have a great holiday everyone!
Please find attached parental survey and feedback from parents who completed the survey in November. The results are overwhelmingly positive and I am delighted to see the recognition for the hard work of our pupils and staff. It also highlights areas for discussion, which will take place with staff, Parent Council and Pupil Council.
Please check our website for the full results, including comments.
Wallace staff demonstrated excellent skill in the cooking classroom. The staff worked in teams to create a variety of wonderful dishes from the same set of ingredients. Determination, creativity, team work, cooperation, research and numeracy skills were all on display but most importantly everyone had fun! Well done to the winning team – Purple Plums – who cooked up a vegetable pastry starter and curry dish! Happy Together. Learning Together. Succeeding Together.
Wallace Cooking Classroom saw the addition of a fridge and sink. These will support the implementation of cooking activities. Thank you very much to the Parent Council for their fund raising efforts as money donated to the school was used to supplement the purchase of these items. Succeeding Together.
Following consultation with pupils, parents and staff we have updated the school Anti-bullying Policy. Throughout the policy there is evidence of all school stakeholder’s feedback. In addition, Appendix 1 shares the results of the parental online survey.
The Anti-bullying Policy remains in draft format before it can be officially launched. At this stage we welcome parents/carers input. The policy will be presented and discussed at the Parent Council AGM on Monday 14 January 2019, 7pm. Should you be unable to attend this meeting, written feedback is also welcome through email at wallaceenquiries@renfrewshire.gov.uk. We ask that this is submitted by Friday 18 January.
